Whether an unique heirloom piece for display, or tasteful remodeling additions such as windows, doors, transoms, sidelights, cabinet doors, etc., for your home, office, or church, we are here to help. By gathering information from you for the design, to the actual finished product, we listen and produce. Whether it be etching, copper foil, lead came, glass carving, or painting, we do it all according to your stipulations. Our goal is to make your glass art experience an unlimited one in design, quality, and pride!

lead came services

Lead Came construction lends itself to geometric, straight line, or gently curving patterns.

Turner selects, with customer approval, the appropriate came based on the client’s design. Pieces can be constructed using lead, brass, and zinc.

Turner also works with an array of glass options including clear, stained, glass painting, beveled, custom beveled, beveled clusters, etching, and glass carving.

Copper foil services

Copper Foil is best suited for multi-pieced work that requires intricate detailing. A copper foil/tape is applied and burnished along the edges of each individual piece of glass. Each piece is then placed together like a jigsaw puzzle. After joining the pieces, the glass pieces are soldered together along the copper coated tape forming a glass panel. Finishing patinas, if selected, are then applied.

glass painting services

The glass and lead/copper foil of stained glass windows sets the stage for a story or concept, and the paint and/or stain supply the information that defines and communicates the story. Stained glass windows fill our world with the beauty of line and color and can be enhanced with the addition of paint or stain, adding further line and shading for form and definition. Done well, painting can add a new dimension to glass work. It provides the ability to add lines and lettering, create texture and shading, and add some color in selected areas.

The availability of traditional Glass Stainers’ paints, Transparent Enamels, and Silver Stains allow the artist to further enhance the medium of stained glass. The artist is given the opportunity to add more detailing, shading and highlights to give the finished piece a more realistic look and depth.

etching & Glass Carving services

Turner works with an array of glass mediums such as mirrors, glass goblets, plates, etc., when creating etched glass art. Etching can be accomplished by the use of chemicals and/or pressure blasting. Glass carving is accomplished by the use of a blasting cabinet, blasting tools and supplies. Beautiful pieces can be accomplished by combining both methods. Etched glass and glass carving designs can be custom designed or from design books.

classes services

Beginner Level Copper Foil class will begin at 8:00am through 3:30pm and will consist of two consecutive Saturdays that will instruct students on the procedure of the copper foil method. Each attendee will select a design from our file of class designs (see Copper Foil Designs) and will create a stained glass panel that measures around 12 inches (smaller if requested) and will be theirs to keep. Also each attendee will be given instruction on history, tool usage, design theory, etc., of stained glass. Each attendee will also receive a folder of all class instructions as a resource booklet for future personal reference. All supplies are furnished.

Advanced Level Lead Came class will begin at 8:00am through 3:30pm and will consist of two consecutive Saturdays that will instruct students on the procedure of the lead came method. Each attendee will select a design from our file of class designs (see Lead Came Designs) and will create a stained glass panel that measures around 12 inches (smaller if requested) and will be theirs to keep. Also each attendee will be given instruction on types of lead, tool usage, design theory using lead, etc., of stained glass. Each attendee will receive copies of all class instructions as a resource booklet for personal reference. All supplies are furnished.

design Services

A custom generated exquisite design is created by listening to you. When carefully selected pieces of stained glass is added to your design, your vision will materialize before you and become a family treasure for generations to come.

Non-Custom Designs
Non-custom designs are designs created from the use of our library of design books. No charge for designs if the designs are used in the creation of the commissioned stained glass panels.

Custom Designs
Custom designs are designs created from sketches, photographs, certain areas of other designs, etc., all compiled together to form one complete custom design. No charge for designs if the designs are used in the creation of the commissioned stained glass panels.

How It Is Done
Most of the time I use computer generated drawing tools such as Glass Eye 2000, which is a CAD coprogram for stained glass projects. I also use Procreate as well for sketching purposes. Once several designs have been completed, I email the potential designs to my client. If the client would like for changes to be made, I can easily make the requested changes and then resubmit for approval.
